Rae Croteau Jr.

Rae Croteau Jr. started outriding in 1996 and was soon to become a driver in 1999. Since he began he has qualified for 17 final heats, and has won two championships. A third generation champion chuckwagon driver, 2015 saw Rae capture the GMC Sierra Cup Series for being the highest pointed driver at the two stops that comprised the series, and established a new track record at the Battle of the North. Rae made his first trip to the GMC Rangeland Derby's championship final in 2014, becoming only the second time that three generations of the same family have qualified for the GMC Rangeland Derby’s championship final joining his father Bert Croteau and grandfather Ray Croteau who each qualified for the Calgary final in 2004 and 1987 respectively. Rae has had four horses named to the WPCA Equine Outfit of Excellence; one horse named to the Calgary Stampede's Equine Outfit of Excellence, and has won nine major show championships in his 14 year career on the pro circuit. In 2013, Rae thrilled the crowd at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas by touring his wagon around the Thomas and Mack Center during the opening ceremonies on Canada night. A former member of the CPCA, he won the CPCA’s Meadow Lake Stampede in 2001, the CPCA's High Point Rookie Outrider in 1996, the CPCA's High Point Rookie Driver in 1999, and the CPCA's Most Improved Driver in 2000. Rae is a third generation chuckwagon driver and is a cousin to fellow driver Chanse Vigen. Rae, Ashley and Hadley live in Rapid View Saskatchewan.
